Monster Cable Outlets to Go with USB

I travel frequently for business and just about every hotel room that I have ever stayed in doesn't have enough available power outlets. When you take a cell phone, laptop computer, digital camera and sometimes MP3 player, trying to recharge their batteries often involves unplugging lamps and the alarm clock to get enough outlets.

Monster cable has four different compact power strips with from 3 to 6 outlets. They all have a short power cord that you wrap around the power strip and plug into one of the outlets when it is not being used. They are small enough to put into a brief case or computer case.

The most recent addition to the lineup has 3 outlets and a powered USB port. Many digital cameras and cell phones can be charged from this port. If you use this to recharge the batteries, all you need is the appropriate cable, you can leave the power supply at home. One or two less things to lug around while traveling.

This isn't hi-tech, but it is very clever. Its one of those products that I wish I would have thought of it first.

For more information on their travel power strips go to Monster Cable Outlets to Go. They are priced from $14.95 to $29.99

What do think? And are there any products that you would recommend for frequent travelers?
