The chart compares a number of state codes and "green building" standards to the challenge goals and provides a reasonably simple method of determining where a building stands in relation to the challenge.

The report, entitled Meeting the 2030 Challenge Through Building Codes provides information on the additional reductions beyond specific code levels needed to achieve challenge levels.

Mazria's initiative has been adopted by a number of national agencies and programs, including the American Institute of Architects, the U.S. Green Building Council, and the U.S. Council of Mayors, among others. The full list of participants is also listed in the report.
