What's the growth potential for pondless water features?
I've developed a real affinity for pondless/disappearing water features. I wonder, are landscaping contractors doing the same thing? I believe this market niche has phenomenal growth potential for years to come.
If you're not sure what a pondless system really is, check these sites out:

Who wants them and who gets them?
I've talked to many potential clients, friends and family who would love to have a "water feature" in their landscape. However, a huge majority of them come up with the usual reasons why they can't have one:
-- too hard to take care of
-- not enough time to keep it running correctly
-- too expensive
What makes them great?
-- Pondless systems can fit into much smaller areas than traditional water features
-- They can be installed in a much quicker time frame
-- More potential profit
-- Easier maintenance for homeowners and less liability
-- Neighborhood bird bath. The female chickadees will thank you.
Your two cents
For those of us doing them or thinking about it, we're all interested in more successful methods to increase our installations plus make the whole process more efficient and profitable. http://www.landscapeonline.com
-- Who's had experience with installing these features?
-- What's your preference: kits or custom?
-- Anybody have any successful selling techniques with pondless?
-- What are your thoughts about this market niche?
